As a mixed media wood artist, Nadia’s work captures the essence of place, states of being, the presence of peoples and animals. Her work has been referred to as installations of color and light that feel alive.
Nadia received her BFA in sculptural ceramics and archaeology. Her art career began as an illustrator of archeological artifacts on archaeological digs, scientific journals and cultural resource management publications. Early in her career, she apprenticed with a stained glass company in Texas.
After moving to Hawaii, she shifted her sculptural focus to wood, replicating the glossy depth of ceramic glazes and the luminosity of stained glass on wood surfaces.
Her work contains design elements of prehistoric rock art, and artifacts found around the globe.
When not creating in the studio, Nadia runs an Arts Business Accelerator and teaches art locally.
